blumöd material is a special combination of micro-fibre nylon and spandex (84/16) which allows transmission of the sun's healthy rays, while the dense
knit prevents transmission of the harmful UV rays
blumöd material is treated with a proprietary 'fluorescent blue pigment system'on one side that amplifies the sun's naturally occurring blue light.
UV is captured by the fluorescent pigments and converted from the UV range - 300-400 nm - into the blue range.
The blumöd material also selectively transmits existing blue and infrared rays from the sun and delivers these rays to the skin.
The result is a high level of blue light delivered to the skin along with significant levels of infrared rays also reaching the skin
Blue light is proven to be effective in eradicating acne causing bacteria.
Blue light interacts with porphyrin from the bacteria and naturally occurring oxygen to produce a singlet oxygen which is lethal to the bacteria -

Infrared light is proven and common in skin healing procedures in physician offices and spas.
Infrared light causes the hemoglobin in our blood cells to release nitric oxide which is a vasodilator. The dilation provides greater blood flow to damaged
skin cells and tissues, resulting in a speedier healing process with damage skin tissues. This damage may be due to aging, or overexposure to the sun's UV rays.
